The calendar for the 2024/24 season has been set. As revealed in the schedule adopted today by the Executive Committee of the German Football Association (DFB), the opening match of the Bundesliga will take place on 18 August 2024, while Bundesliga 2 will kick off three weeks earlier, on 28 July 2024.

Seasons run from August to May. Games are played on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. All of the Bundesliga clubs take part in the DFB-Pokal cup competition. The winner of the Bundesliga qualifies for the DFL-Supercup.
